WELCOME TO TINY TALKERS SOUTH SHORE!
PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES TO HELP LITTLE ONES COMMUNICATE
We are a neurodiverse-affirming, private speech therapy practice that specializes in treating children ages 18 months-7 years. We meet each child where they are, celebrating their unique communication style while building skills that help them thrive. Through a combination of play therapy, routine-based activities, and parent coaching, we help young children find their voices...at home, daycare, or preschool! Plus, we can supplement your child's school-based services throughout the school year or help bridge the gap in services during the summer months. We are also happy to offer virtual speech therapy sessions for appropriate candidates.

EARLY LANGUAGE
We step into your child's world to teach pre-linguistic skills like imitation, pointing, facial expressions, and exclamatory words during play. Parents are always encouraged to join in!

SPEECH THERAPY
We use engaging songs and activities to help your child speak clearly when saying their name, favorite foods, family members' names, and other meaningful words.

PARENT COACHING
We empower parents to be their child's greatest teachers. Our coaching sessions are tailored to meet your needs with resources and strategies that you can apply right away.
MEET MISS JULIE
JULIE GARDNER, M.A., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a Speech Language Pathologist with over 16 years of experience and a passion for early language and speech sound development! After working with children in integrated preschools and elementary schools, I founded Tiny Talkers South Shore to specialize in serving the pediatric population (age 18 months-7 years). I am proud to offer neurodiversity-affirming care, meaning I approach every child with genuine curiosity about how they communicate, not just whether they fit a mold.

Throughout my career, I have witnessed the incredible impact of early intervention. The sooner I can support a child in developing their communication skills, the better the outcome — and there is no reason to 'wait and see' when a child is struggling now. By partnering with parents and empowering them as their child's most important teachers, I help families build connection and communicate with confidence.

I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology and Deaf Studies from the University of New Hampshire and went on to earn my master's degree in Speech Pathology from Northern Illinois University. Since then, I have upheld my ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and my Massachusetts State License for Speech-Language Pathology. I have pursued continuing education in early language development, including coursework from Laura Mize and Cari Ebert, Kaufman Apraxia Therapy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for diverse learners, aided language stimulation, and supporting children with complex sensory profiles — all grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming framework.

Fun facts about me! My husband and I have two kids, a dog, and about a dozen chickens and ducks! In the winter, you'll find us skiing in the mountains, and in the summer, you'll find us on our boat on the North and South Rivers. I've lived in 7 different states, but Marshfield is where I call home. In my free time, I love to work out, read, shop, and hike. I run on iced lattes and Taylor Swift songs. I believe that nothing cures a bad day like the sand in your toes and salt in your hair...and maybe a little online shopping.

"PLAY IS OFTEN TALKED ABOUT AS IF IT WERE A RELIEF FROM SERIOUS LEARNING. BUT FOR CHILDREN PLAY IS SERIOUS LEARNING. PLAY IS REALLY THE WORK OF CHILDHOOD."
- Fred Rogers
GETTING STARTED WITH
TINY TALKERS IS EASY!
We make the process easy, from your first phone call to your child's last session.
1
Call for a free 20-minute consultation. You can discuss your concerns, ask questions, and we will discuss the next steps.
2
Participate in an evaluation. We will learn about your child's development and communication skills through conversation, formal testing, and play interactions.
3
We will create a treatment plan based on your child's strengths and challenges. Watch your child find their voice as we all play, sing, and interact in therapy together!

AND THE BEST PART?
WE COME TO YOU!
Therapy at home, daycare, preschool, or via Zoom!
We know that children communicate best in the places they feel most comfortable, so we meet them there. That might mean playing a board game on the family room rug, working on a craft at the kitchen table, reading together on the couch, or joining in on daily routines like mealtimes and story time. Our goal is to give you and your child the tools to communicate in your everyday life and keep growing even when therapy ends. We also offer virtual therapy via Zoom for appropriate candidates.
